Power Descriptions

At-Will Evocations

Wild Shape Druid Feature
At-WillPolymorph, Primal
Minor Action (Special) Personal
Effect:You change from your humanoid form to beast form or vice versa. When you change from beast form back to your humanoid form, you shift 1 square. While you are in beast form, you can’t use attack, utility, or feat powers that lack the beast form keyword, although you can sustain such powers.
You choose a specific form whenever you use wild shape to change into beast form. The beast form is your size, resembles a natural beast or a fey beast, and normally doesn’t change your game statistics or movement modes. Your equipment becomes part of your beast form, but you drop anything you are holding, except implements you can use.
You continue to gain the benefits of the equipment you wear. You can use the properties and the powers of implements as well as magic items that you wear, but not the properties or the powers of weapons or the powers of wondrous items. While equipment is part of your beast form, it cannot be removed, and anything in a container that is part of your beast form is inaccessible.
Special:You can use this power once per round.

A 25 year old Druid, Faolan looks much older. His complextion is worn from living in the wild- away from the towns and conclaves of civilization. Covered in an ill-fitting green cloak and various bits of various animals, he looks a bit like the wildnerness he lives in- unkept and uncaring. His facial expression is one of exhaustion and annoyance, as if he really just rather never be bothered.

When Faolan shape shifts, he turns into a panther, which somehow manages to look even less interested and annoyed than the Druid.

Faolan doesn’t talk about his past, but if you look deep in a few clerical records, you can find several interesting things. That, only a few years ago, a particular Adalbert Matthias was a cleric in training to the goddess Orelia, and seemed to be on the fast track to becoming a full preist, and that this Adalbert was engaged to a Sabrina Gerdried. A few difficult to aquire journals will tell you that they were a happy couple, and the future couldn’t look brighter for them.

However, look in a differnt set of records, and the story takes a sudden turn. Here- Sabrina is attacked by a Gunnlaur fanatic, who had some sort of magical weapon. Keep reading, she expired slowly and painfully, the prayers of Orelia’s faithful were unable to give her even a respite from her suffering. Adalbert is said here to have never left her side for those long weeks, praying feverently to his goddess.

All to no avail. Sabrina eventually expired, and (check yet another set of records) Adalbert has said to have disappeared. He is ruled dead- unable to cope with his love’s death, he ran away to commit suicide and join her.

But, the story is not yet done. Check another set of records, the acient records of the trees and the chattering of birds and squirrels. They say the old druid Mathuin has taken on a new pupil, and taught him the ways of the Druids. They say the pupil came to Mathuin in preistly robes, and now walks among the wilds, with a new name to try and distance himself from a dear beloved’s death.

Faolan is not the easiest to get along with- which is generally not helped by his sloppy apearence. He’s blunt, headstrong, and generally just off-putting. Talking to the Druid can turn into an adventure in and of itself, as Faolan is not impartal to using his shapeshifting powers to punctuate his sentences with growls, hisses and roars.

Although Faolan might try his hardest, there are bits and pieces of his former life still attached to him- mainly his inclination toward Good. Faolan worships no gods, but still finds himself against Evil time and time again.
